Fundraising

Fundraising is a great way for your club to support its activities, engage with the Brock community, and make a positive impact. Before launching any fundraising initiative or accepting external support, please review the requirements below.

Sponsorships & Donations

Clubs are encouraged to seek both monetary and non-monetary sponsorships and donations to support their initiatives.

Before accepting any sponsorship or donation, your club must receive approval from the Clubs Manager by submitting the Sponsorship & Donation Declaration Form.

This process helps ensure all sponsorships and donations comply with BUSU policies and university guidelines.

Contracts & Agreements

Club executives may not enter into contracts or agreements on behalf of their club without first notifying BUSU.

All contracts must be submitted to BUSU for review, and the Executive Director must provide the final signature before any agreement can be finalized or signed.

To submit a contract for review, complete the Contract Upload Form.

Fundraising for your Club

Looking to raise funds for your club? Many clubs successfully generate revenue through product sales and community fundraising events.

Some popular fundraising options include:

Please be sure to connect with SERMA and the Clubs Manager for fundraising approvals.

Food First Program

The Food First program is a collaboration between BUSU and the Graduate Student Association (GSA), with support from Brock University departments. This program provides assistance to students facing food security issues, such as grocery support, free food events and resources on money-saving and budgeting.

The program operates on community support and spends upwards of $60,000 each year. When considering a fundraiser within your club, think of the Food First program. All your support goes directly back to supporting Brock students like you.

Canned food drives or a food sale are great examples on how to fundraise for the Food First program.
