THE TAX CLINIC HAS REACHED IT'S CAPACITY FOR THE 2023 INCOME TAX SEASON. PLEASE VISIT THE CANADIAN REVENUE AGENCY (CRA) WEBSITE FOR FREE TAX RESOURCES.
BUSU is partnering with the Brock University Chinese Students & Scholars Association (BUCSSA) to offer a free tax clinic for students. This service starts March 4 and runs every Saturday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. until April 8th.
The clinic is run by students with experience in submitting taxes with the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA). You can schedule your 30-minute virtual meeting with a BUCSSA volunteer to submit your 2022 income taxes. All meetings will be held on Microsoft Teams through your Brock University subscription.
Once an appointment is booked, your information will be sent to the BUCSSA tax clinic team and they will contact you to arrange a meeting. The BUCSSA team are no longer taking new registrations.
For those who are signed up and have been contacted by the organizer, here is what you will need:
- Social Insurance Number
- Government-issued identification
- T2202A or T2202 - Tuition and Enrolment Certificate, issued by Brock University
- Rent payment receipts, issued by your landlord or tenant management team
