Carleigh Charlton
Carleigh Charlton (they/she) is BUSU’s Vice President, University Affairs. In this role, Carleigh advocates for undergraduate student issues and interests at the institutional level. As VPUA, they oversee the management, creation, and delivery of BUSU services, and represent undergraduate students on the Brock University Senate.
Her portfolio focuses on internal advocacy, through the develop of policies and campaigns, and oversees services such as the Universal Bus Pass (U-Pass), and the BUSU Health and Dental Plan. Additionally, as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of BUSU, they are responsible for signing cheques and invoices on a weekly basis.
Carleigh grew up in London, ON and is in her 4th year at Brock, working towards their Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. They previously served on the BUSU Board of Directors (Vice-Chair), Clubs Policy Committee, and the University Senate Academic Review Special Committee. Carleigh was also a BUSU delegate at the previous 4 OUSA General Assemblies, a Gender and Sexual Violence Peer2Peer Support team member in the Brock HRE office, and participates in Brock Model UN.

I have been involved with BUSU since my first year, and I have loved meeting so many of you and advocating for your needs throughout my time at Brock! I am still so committed to representing students and uplifting your voices within the University, and I promise to continue to ensure your student experience is prioritized in all our decisions. I can’t wait to see you all in the fall at BadgerFest, and until then, I’ll be busy working away in the office to make sure all those U-Pass stickers are ready for you! (As well as some exciting advocacy campaigns that we’re so excited to share more about soon!).
