Brock University Students’ Union (BUSU) is offering the opportunity to meet face-to-face with prominent political figures during Pizza with Politicians. This event provides Brock University Students with an evening of meaningful conversation, networking opportunities, and free pizza.
Pizza with Politicians has turned into an annual event, offering a casual, approachable space, to encourage students to start a conversation, and ask questions. This year, the event takes place during BUSU’s Food Security Week, providing a hot topic for students to engage with local leaders. Additional topics will be provided throughout the event to alleviate the stress of starting a conversation with elected representatives.
“It is an honour to host Pizza with Politicians again this year, this event is all about bringing students and elected representatives together in an open and approachable space to talk, share perspectives and ask questions,” said BUSU Vice-President, External Affairs, Aaditya Gupta. “It’s a great reminder that when students make noise, they make change.”
Several prominent political figures have been confirmed to attend including MPP Jennie Stevens, MPP Jeff Burch, MPP Wayne Gates, MPP Sam Oosterhoff, MP Chris Bittle, and MP Tony Baldinelli.
Students in attendance will enjoy complimentary pizza and refreshments, as well as a free BUSU tote bag to take home. The first 50 students in attend also received a BUSU Advocacy bucket hat.
Pizza with Politicians is a free event with limited seating. Students are encouraged to reserve their spot on the BUSU website.
