Hi, my name is Aaliyah, and I am a third-year psychology student at Brock University.

I am running for Senate because I want to be a part of academic decision-making and represent the student perspective at that level. Through my involvement in student clubs, committees, and volunteering, I've witnessed how these choices influence students in apparent ways, which moved me to put my name forward.

I value transparency and fairness in how academic policies are outlined and enforced.   If elected, I will bring  students point of view to discussions and ask questions when student perspectives aren't properly recognized.

Outside of academics, I am interested in leadership and community efforts both on and off campus, which has influenced how I approach involvement in the university community.

I would enjoy the opportunity to take part in Senate and represent Brock students.
