Khalid Hassan Srijon

My name is Khalid Hassan Srijon, and I am a fourth year Economics student at Brock University. I am running for the Brock Press Board of Directors because I believe student representation should include voices that address real and often overlooked challenges facing students today.

One area I am especially passionate about is men’s self improvement and mental health. Many male students struggle silently with stress, pressure, isolation, and identity, yet there are limited spaces where these conversations are encouraged in a healthy and constructive way. I want to advocate for creating environments that promote accountability, purpose, and personal growth while also normalizing mental health support for men across campus.

Through my academic background in economics, I have developed strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and an understanding of how systems and institutions impact individuals. I believe these skills are valuable in decision making roles where transparency, responsibility, and long term thinking are essential.

As a board member, I aim to support initiatives that encourage positive personal development, foster open dialogue, and ensure student media remains representative, fair, and impactful. I want to help build a campus culture where students feel supported not only academically, but also mentally and socially.

I would be honored to serve Brock students with integrity, dedication, and a genuine commitment to student well being.
