As a second-year Child Health student and a Black Ghanaian woman, I bring a unique "health-equity lens" to academic decision-making. I am acutely aware of how institutional structures and systemic barriers can disproportionately impact the academic success and well-being of racialized students. By serving on the Senate, I intend to advocate for culturally responsive policies and equitable resource allocation, ensuring that the diverse voices of Brock’s student body are not just heard, but are foundational to our academic standards.
