Welcome to the BIPOC Law Society ⚖️ Our mission is to empower and support BIPOC individuals who aspire to work in the law. Whether you're just starting to think about law school, deep in LSAT prep or somewhere in between wondering "what even is tort law?", you've found your people.
BLS was built for the purpose of fostering a space where BIPOC students could access real resources, ask honest questions, and feel supported on their legal journey. The legal field can be intimidating but it doesn't have to be lonely. BLS is your hub for belonging, a community built by us, for us.
To fulfill our mission to empower and support fellow aspiring BIPOC lawyers, we would like to;
→ Community Building: foster a supportive network of BIPOC students instered in the field of law → Cultural Awareness: explore the link between law, identity and culture → Advocacy: discuss systemic barriers and push for equity → Development: offer workshops, LSAT prep sessions, and career panels
